Orthoses and prostheses are medical devices designed to support, protect, correct, or replace body functions or aesthetics to enhance or optimize functionality, reduce pain, correct deformities, and improve overall quality of life. The fabrication of orthoses/prostheses and the selection of mobility aids are based on examinations and supervised by a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) specialist, tailored to each patient's needs.
